"Ideally, we were looking for a solution that could share, report, or send a signal in real time. If the network security appliance (GuardTower) detects something that has bypassed endpoint security or other perimeter tools, it will trigger an action by the endpoint protection software or tools like a SIEM to remediate the problem in real time.
